After breakfast, we tour Cusco, one of South America’s most beautiful cities, where traditional colonial architecture meets fascinating Inca ruins. We’ll visit three churches, including the massive 16th-century cathedral, which took 100 years to complete. Next, we explore Qorichancha, the Incas’ principal temple to the sun, originally adorned with sheets of pure gold. Our final stop is the impressive Saksaywaman, with its enormous megalithic walls, some of the largest stone blocks used by the Incas, and a key site in the last stand of the Inca rebellion.
